Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Systems Administrator to join our team. This full-time, on-site position will be based out of our Strathnaver location, which serves as a central hub for our regional operations. This position will include overseeing all aspects of our IT infrastructure, including system maintenance, network management, and software support. Reporting directly to the IT Supervisor, the IT Systems Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology systems and providing technical support to staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide excellent communication and technical support to team members
  • Manage and maintain hardware and virtual server environments
  • Support and troubleshoot various systems, including software, network, phones, cameras, and email
  • Administer user account and manage access privileges securely
  • Execute regular system backup and recovery operations to safeguard data integrity
  • Monitor network activity and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues on both on-site and remote servers
  • Respond to service support tickets promptly and efficiently
  • Create and maintain network documents, standards, and procedures
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, identifying opportunities to optimize systems
  • Ensure compliance with licenses, permits, and regulatory requirements
  • Implement and manage security protocols, including firewalls and end-point protection
  • Develop and update disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Continuously monitor and optimize system performance and resource utilization
  • Willingness to periodically travel to other operational facilities

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience, and technical skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field (or equivalent industry experience)
  • A minimum of three years of experience managing networks and servers in a similar role
  • Proven experience working in a multi-site environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 Administration (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a positive, solutions focused mindset
  • Ability to excel independently and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Salary is commensurate upon level of experience, competitively in the $75,000 to $90,000 range as a starting wage, with a comprehensive benefits/pension package, and plenty of room to grow within the company.
