The successful candidate would ideally have the following skills and attributes:

  • Basic understanding of IT support practices, including hardware/software troubleshooting, network fundamentals, and user account management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of custom software applications installation and troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to IT project work, either through academic projects or internships.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a graduate IT Technician to provide primary first-line IT support to our local and international offices, as well as remote and home-based users. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop their skills and grow within a supportive and dynamic environment.

You will be part of our growing dynamic team, responsible for the following:

  • Overseeing responsibility for First Line IT Support - serving as the first point of contact for all IT support requests, managing inquiries via phone and helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.

Sourcing and procuring relevant hardware and software for the business. Obtain quotes for approval by the IT Manager, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.

- Setting up new starters and processing leavers in the business. This includes provisioning user accounts, and hardware/software as required.
- Conducting weekly testing of group backup systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Installing custom software applications as needed, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
- Participating in project work as and when required, contributing to the successful implementation of IT initiatives.
