POSITION:

As an IT Systems and Interface DevOps Engineer, you will be an integral part of our IT team, focusing on optimizing the order flow to resource management and Manufacturing process. This role is ideal for a graduate passionate about IT and DevOps, eager to apply their knowledge in a practical setting and ensure smooth business operations across both cloud and on-premises systems.
We are looking for a candidate that will help drive business improvements through the application of IT to simplify business systems, integrate, and automate where appropriate, whilst ensuring that existing systems remain available, secure and relevant.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Programming Languages: Basic knowledge of Python, Java, VB or C#.
• DevOps and CI/CD pipeline: Familiarity with SaltStack, Terraform, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes or similar.
• Cloud Platforms: Understanding of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Database Systems: Knowledge of Oracle, SQL (e.g., MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
• Configuration Management: Exposure to tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Monitoring and Logging: Basic understanding of tools like CheckMK, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk.
• Scripting: Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell).
• Cyber Security : Knowledge of ISO27001:2022 and best practices in security and its application to cloud based technologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Understanding of network protocols and security principles.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems, particularly in the aerospace sector.

• System Optimization: Work on optimizing the order flow processes to enhance resource management efficiency within the manufacturing operations.
• Interface Development: Develop, maintain, and improve interfaces between business systems to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
• DevOps Practices: Implement and maintain DevOps practices to support continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
• Cloud and On-Prem Integration: Assist in managing and integrating systems across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of business-critical applications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, operations, and IT to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Support: Provide technical support to end-users and address system-related queries and issues promptly.
