Description:

TO MANAGE THE IT FUNCTIONS ON A DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONAL BASIS.

  • Lead and manage the IT department, providing guidance and technical support to team members.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Cargo Wise-related issues and enhancements.
  • Manage the implementation, support, and optimization of Cargo Wise systems.
  • Ensure best practices and compliance with industry standards for Cargo Wise usage
  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of IT services and systems.
  • Manage the application support team, ensuring timely resolution of issues and user support.
  • Put usage controls in place to avoid systems and cost abuse
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to identify and implement application improvements.
  • Plan and execute system integration projects to ensure seamless interoperability between different software applications, hardware systems, and IT infrastructures.
  • Create and implement strategies, architectures, and platforms to facilitate efficient and secure data exchange and workflow across systems.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, software development vendor, and business units, to gather integration requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Facilitate training sessions and create documentation for IT staff and end-users to ensure they understand the integration processes and can troubleshoot common issues.
  • Provide associated documentation, according to internal process
  • Report Incident and System Information to Senior Management
  • Annual Budgeting for the I.T. Department
  • Monthly Reporting on I.T. Costs as defined by Senior Management
  • Assess current IT systems and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.
  • Plan and execute IT projects to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to IT security policies and data protection regulations
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to safeguard company data

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric Certificate (non-negotiable)
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field (non-negotiable)
  • Certified Cargo Wise Professional (mandatory)
  • AWS certifications (advantageous)
  • Network certifications (advantageous)
  • Proven experience of Managing an I.T. Department
  • Experience in I.T. Infrastructure Planning and Development
