Description:
TO MANAGE THE IT FUNCTIONS ON A DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONAL BASIS.
- Lead and manage the IT department, providing guidance and technical support to team members.
- Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Cargo Wise-related issues and enhancements.
- Manage the implementation, support, and optimization of Cargo Wise systems.
- Ensure best practices and compliance with industry standards for Cargo Wise usage
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems
- Ensure high availability and reliability of IT services and systems.
- Manage the application support team, ensuring timely resolution of issues and user support.
- Put usage controls in place to avoid systems and cost abuse
- Coordinate with stakeholders to identify and implement application improvements.
- Plan and execute system integration projects to ensure seamless interoperability between different software applications, hardware systems, and IT infrastructures.
- Create and implement strategies, architectures, and platforms to facilitate efficient and secure data exchange and workflow across systems.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, software development vendor, and business units, to gather integration requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Facilitate training sessions and create documentation for IT staff and end-users to ensure they understand the integration processes and can troubleshoot common issues.
- Provide associated documentation, according to internal process
- Report Incident and System Information to Senior Management
- Annual Budgeting for the I.T. Department
- Monthly Reporting on I.T. Costs as defined by Senior Management
- Assess current IT systems and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.
- Plan and execute IT projects to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to IT security policies and data protection regulations
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to safeguard company data
REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric Certificate (non-negotiable)
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field (non-negotiable)
- Certified Cargo Wise Professional (mandatory)
- AWS certifications (advantageous)
- Network certifications (advantageous)
- Proven experience of Managing an I.T. Department
- Experience in I.T. Infrastructure Planning and Development
