Description:

To strengthen our IT team, we are looking for a committed IT Team Lead (m/f/d) for our product team of software engineers, system analysts and quality assurance engineers situated in and around Wrocław, Poland.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • You have a good understanding of IT product organization and the software development lifecycle
  • You have experience working in agile teams , working on an enterprise-level for multiple years and are not easily overwhelmed by large IT landscapes.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and know how to address shortcomings and improvement potential
  • You have a team player attitude and are comfortable explaining your ideas to colleagues of different disciplines, hierarchy levels and backgrounds.
  • You have a high level of initiative, as well as a pro-active, goal-oriented and structured working method. You have a knack for efficient processes and communication.
  • You have a high technical affinity, ready to enlarge your technical knowledge if the team dynamics require it and You are willing to get in depth knowledge of Air logistics
  • Fluent in English.

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE

As team lead you will be leading the more technically oriented colleagues within a multi-disciplinary product team responsible for our “Business Process Automation” Application. You will be part of the Airfreight Logistics business unit, reporting to the application’s product lead.You are in very close collaboration with the product lead and the technical lead (both stationed in Hamburg, Germany) to ensure a smooth and efficient product team organization and communication, both team internal as well as with colleagues from the business units, IT or external partners.One of your key responsibilities is the development of your team. This includes the alignment of the team’s training curriculum with national and corporate requirements as well as personal skills and the team’s focus.Even more than any other member of your team, it is expected of you to consciously engage with the way you and the teamwork. This means you reflect on the tools and methods and engage in discussions about new technologies and changes in the work processes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Disciplinary leadership of the system analysts as well as software and quality assurance engineers within our multi-disciplinary IT product team
  • Maintenance of an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
  • Continuous evaluation and improvement of the product team’s internal processes, communication, applied methods and tools
  • Alignment of your team’s training curriculum with national and corporate requirements
  • Participation in the recruitment process and responsibility for onboarding of new team members
  • Regular performance and potential review of your team members
  • Responsibility for defining your team members’ technical as well as personal development needs
  • Setting of your team member’s targets jointly with the product lead based on agreed product and team goals
  • Constant support of your team and individual team members by using coaching style
  • Regular exchanges with your colleagues from the Air logistics business unit to ensure the alignment of the product team’s priorities with business strategies and goals. To do so, you will acquire the necessary knowledge about our Air logistics operations
  • Fascilitation and management of collaboration and communication with colleagues and stakeholders from other Air Logistics teams, business units as well as the corporate IT department
  • Depending on your knowledge, background and interests, we encourage you to actively participate in all stages of the software development process (requirements engineering, design, coding, testing, support…)
