PETA are proud to be working with Solent Laptops to support them with the recruitment and training of a new IT Support Apprentice. The successful applicant will join the growing team at Solent Laptops based in Farlington.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Good communication and organisation skills
• Good problem solving and analytical skills
• Enthusiastic and willingness to learn
• You will be a team player who is able to work using own initiative

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Any previous IT knowledge / experience will be highly beneficial

You will be responsible for working with and aiding our current IT Technicians in their everyday work, building knowledge of our business and the way we do things, leading towards taking on regular day to day workloads and contributing to our daily tasks quota.

Joining the team as an IT Support Apprentice, your day to day duties will involve:

• Organising Stock / Goods In
• Troubleshooting, Software Installation and repair of mainly laptops, sometimes desktops and tablets
• Ensuring the correct memory configuration & Hard Drive is installed
• Running a full PC Check using a PC Installing & Testing Software
• Quality check of all goods before dispatch
• Unpackaging & Repackaging of items for dispatch
• Remote IT Support to company’s clients
