Join Our Dynamic Team as Italy Purchasing Manager at Prysmian Italy!
Are you a passionate candidate ready to lead in the Procurement organization? We have the perfect opportunity for you to join our Italy Purchasing Team as the Italy Purchasing Manager.
You will be based in Milan and a key member of the country’s Management Team (MT), reporting functionally to the Country CEO and directly to the Regional Purchasing Director for South Europe.
You will:
- Lead and inspire the NRM plant buyer team in Italy.
- Oversee the country’s performance, reporting, and PO approval flow.
- Coordinate and monitor spend and performance for BM/RM/NRM in collaboration with local MT and regional/global stakeholders.
- Initiate and lead local negotiations, sourcing, and improvement projects focusing on the NRM perimeter.
- Manage essential commodities such as Transport, Internal Logistics, and Drums in Italy.
- Lead Purchase to Pay improvement initiatives in alignment with the regional Sourcing Excellence specialist and Procurement Director.
- Ensure audit results and compliance within the country.
- Act as the central country contact in local MT, proactively informing stakeholders/local MTs/plants about market developments and local opportunities/priorities.
- Secure plant needs by managing cross-functional enablers such as specifications and forecasts, and provide support for plant-related activities when required.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of procurement experience.
- Bachelor or Master degree
- Ability to develop the team and grow the procurement function.
- Experience working in an international matrix organization.
- Solid understanding of the Procurement process and Commodity Management, including supplier performance and development management.
- Strong project management skills, working in cross-functional teams with R&D, Quality, Logistics, Sales, and Production.
- Strong “commercial acumen” with a result-oriented approach and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with different stakeholders.
- Experience with SAP is preferred.
- Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory.
