Description:
Strathcona Resources Ltd. Reporting to the Team Lead, Equipment Logistics, the Item Master Data Analyst will perform the day-to-day activities to support for managing and maintaining Strathcona’s item master database, ensuring accurate and up to date information for all products. You will collaborate closely with various departments, to ensure smooth operations and data integrity. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attend to detail and a passion for process improvements.
The successful candidate will:
- Manage and maintain the item master database, ensuring accuracy and completeness of product information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and update product data, including item descriptions, pricing, and specifications.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors in the item master database.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain necessary product details and specifications.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures related to the item master.
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on item master processes and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement appropriate solutions.
- Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends and insights related to product information.
- Support various other inventory related projects within the organization.
- Validation of new Item Masters, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, utilizing strong communication and organizational skills.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Team player with strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills
- Self –motivated, detailed orientated, open-minded and results driven.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, and strong decision-making skills
- Proven experience in data management or similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with capacity to analyze items data and identify trends.
- Technical proficient and adaptable in Microsoft Suite and EAM systems: possessing advanced computer knowledge and professional competence related to work functions. (Maximo)
- Willingness to adapt to changing business needs to learn new technologies or processes related to item management.
Other Details:
- Required to travel to different Strathcona facilities in Western Canada
- Position can be based out of either Calgary, Lloydminster, Bonnyville, Alberta or Macklin Saskatchewan.
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license (a driver’s abstract is required)
- Overtime and on call may be expected periodically.
- Adhere to all Company policies and Procedures.
- Related Oil and Gas industry experience
