This is an exciting time to join 111, Integrated Urgent Care. We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to provide clinical leadership and supervision.
As the Clinical Lead, you will share our vision to ensure patients get the best possible care, in the right place, at the right time by continually improving access to integrated urgent care services. We are looking for a committed clinical professional with a passion to work with our experienced team.
There will be a requirement for cross site working between our call centres in Wakefield and Rotherham.
The IUC Clinical Lead provides senior clinical leadership and supervision to the Clinical Duty Managers, and senior clinical support to the wider IUC workforce.
There is also a requirement for matrix style working with the Contact Centre Managers and the Scheduling Team to ensure effective operational service delivery.
You will work as an autonomous practitioner using high levels of clinical practice and decision-making skills. Your primary focus will be the provision of excellent patient centred care, encompassing the skills of remote triage and assessment (via telephone and/or video), clinical diagnosis and the development and delivery of effective urgent treatment for patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed primary/urgent health care problems, with a variety of needs across the age spectrum and complex care needs including mental health.
This role works within the parameters of current prescribing legislation, exemptions, or approved Patient Group Directive.
The post holder will be clinically and operationally responsible for the team of Clinical Duty Managers ensuring effective and safe clinical performance through clinical leadership, clinical supervision, and mentorship in practice. The post holder will also contribute to effective governance processes of clinical practice.
The post holder will also develop skills in education, research and audit activities, and service improvement.
