EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience working in a similar role.
• Experience working in a mining environment or other industrial environment would be an asset.
• Familiarity with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS).

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

• Must be able to work 12-hour day and night shifts; on a 7x7 rotation.
• Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Physically fit with the ability to perform physical labour and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail with high standards of workmanship.
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability and willingness to work outside in all weather conditions, demonstrated ability to adapt to environmental challenges.
• High level of safety awareness, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Proven attendance record.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.

• General Cleaning: Routinely clean offices, meeting rooms, hallways, and common areas, including lunch rooms and washrooms, to uphold a high standard of cleanliness and order. Maintain high-traffic areas to ensure a consistently tidy and hygienic environment.
• Waste Management: Regularly gather and empty trash receptacles, managing both general and recyclable waste.
• Safety and Compliance: Strictly follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and equipment. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following best practices to ensure personal and workplace safety. Maintain compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
• Supply Management: Restock necessary supplies such as paper towels, soap, toilet paper, etc. Monitor inventory levels and restock as needed, ensuring an adequate supply of cleaning materials and tools.
• Effective Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with team members and supervisors. Ensure that cleaning tasks are well-coordinated and completed efficiently, adapting to changing priorities as necessary. Promptly notify management regarding any major areas of concern.
