REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

6+ years of professional experience in Java development.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation.
Strong experience with Angular (minimum 2 years) for front-end development.
Expertise in building microservices using Spring Boot.
Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, or Oracle.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:

This role requires working in our Galway office 1 week per month

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in AWS, and microservices architecture to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of Java development experience and a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with Angular, AWS, and Spring Boot. This role involves working on innovative projects within a fast-paced environment, where you will contribute to the development and enhancement of scalable, cloud-based applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
Design and implement robust microservices using Spring Boot and deploy them in AWS.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop front-end components using Angular.
Ensure high-quality code through code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in AWS.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and continuous integration.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the development lifecycle.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and frameworks, applying them as appropriate.
