Description:
We’re looking for an experienced Java Developer that is curious and open minded when it comes to technology. You’ll be working on a microservices architecture responsible for the Sportsbook Betslip, Cashout and Build Your Odds for William Hill’s UK, Spanish and Italian websites.
What you will be doing
- Translating functional and non-functional requirements into working software with your team
- Working closely with the team to analyse, debug and resolve any defects
- A commitment to monitoring and observability, trying to find performance issues or bottlenecks in advance
- Ensuring technical debt is managed effectively (avoid creating it & remove it whenever there’s opportunity)
- Communicate clearly with everyone, translating non-technical and technical requirements appropriately to stakeholders
- Understanding timelines and dependencies, coordinating with teams around you
- Taking responsibility for product delivery and your contributions to it
Who we are looking for

- Solid experience with Java (at least 11) frameworks eg. SpringBoot
- Cassandra, Redis, DynamoDB, RIAK (or other NoSQL databases)
- Kafka, ActiveMQ (or other messaging platforms)
- Experience in Docker, GitLab CI, AWS and Terraform
