The JD YOUNG Internship is a program aimed at cultivating young talent by providing positions that enhance professional capabilities, accelerating their growth into a reserve of young professionals who embody the ‘JD Spirit’ and have a deep understanding of the company’s cultural values. Throughout the year, we recruit outstanding undergraduate and graduate students, giving exceptional candidates the opportunity to experience JD’s core business and understand its value propositions. Students who align with our values, demonstrate outstanding abilities, and meet the conversion criteria will be prioritized for our graduate recruitment programs (JD STAR / The Eagle Team).
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Interns to join our dynamic teams. Based on their passion, individuals will be placed in the relevant team in our London office for a full-time internship lasting 3 to 12 months. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in e-commerce, technology, and related businesses, a passion for solving business problems, and a strategic growth mindset.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, with an anticipated graduation date between the end of 2024 and October 2025.
• Available to commence an internship between November 2024 and July 2025.
• Available for at least 3 months of full-time (40 hours/week) internship based in London.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
• A strong analytical mind with the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data and perform analysis.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Psychology, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
• Prior internship experience in e-commerce, retail, or a related area.
• Understanding of the UK consumer market.

• Assist in identifying and evaluating partnership and business opportunities.
• Conduct market research and analysis to support due diligence efforts.
• Participate in preparing presentation materials for the senior executive team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to gather data and insights.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the UK teams, including document management and coordination of meetings.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of business plans and operational processes.
• Engage in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
