Workdays: Monday – Friday
Location: 202 W. French Place, San Antonio, TX, 78212

SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the RSS Employment Program director and/or Program Manager, the RSS Employment Jobs Developer Coordinator is responsible for supporting program efforts to establish and maintain working relationships with employers, industry organizations, career education providers and assist with establishing collaborative programing with external community service agencies to maximize opportunities towards employment related services for clients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education/Experience
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a social service or business-related field is preferred, or a minimum of one years’ experience in a social service-related field, with at least one year of experience in business administration, and/or human resources experience.
  • License and Credentials
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver license
  • Must have clean driving record
  • Valid vehicle insurance
  • Bilingual/multilingual preferred but not necessary

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum of one years’ experience in Grants Contracts including Federal Grants, State Grants, Program Manual, and Operational Guidelines.
  • Extensive working knowledge of file documentation and Record keeping.
  • Experience with computer software and Microsoft office, E-mail and Internet (i.e., Microsoft software preferred and PDF).
  • A solid grasp of Non-profit Organization and Time Management.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
  • Must have good written and verbal skills.
  • Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work in a culturally sensitive way with people of various backgrounds.
  • Must be able to maintain appropriate ethical boundaries and professional client relationship.
  • Must be at least 21 years old, and able to drive 12-15 passenger agency van when necessary.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel requirements for the position includes 25- 50% local and 0 % overnight.

Responsibilities:



    • Works with client communities, employment staff, agency and community partners to identify current employment trends, programs, and projects that can benefit clients served.

    • Point of contact with area partner employers and external community collaborators.
    • Develop and maintain client employer network.
    • Assist clients with job upskilling opportunities through contacts with career education providers.
    • Guide clients by providing opportunities for career pathway jobs and training programs.
    • Assist with monthly reports and communications as needed on community outreach and program impact efforts.
    • Attend job fairs and provide community outreach presentations to promote employment program services.
    • Assist employers with through providing access to interpreting services for client job orientation or training.
    • Provides direct service support and referrals as needed and work together with staff members in areas of housing, employment, job training, health and emergency in regard to client service plan and agency or program goals.
    • Assist with maintenance of program files and data entry using ClientTrack, and other approved program or agency used data base.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director, Senior Director and Vice President.
