Description:

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous management experience
  • Customer service experiences
  • Office and computer experiences
  • Would be considered an asset – experience working with unions, including handling grievances and interpretating collective agreements.
  • Would be considered an asset – experience and knowledge of working for a not-for-profit organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • G license
  • Able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
  • Would be considered an asset: post-secondary diploma/degree in business administration or equivalent experiences

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • must be able to interact with people in a concise and professional manner,
  • must be able to maintain Commissionaires and client confidentiality,

Responsibilities:

  • Must ensure adequate staffing and contract requirements for security operations across the company, lead and manage the team of District Office Staff, Supervisors and Security Operations Centre.
  • Must process all Work Status Change forms (WSCFs) and associated documents including employment letters Leave of Absence request forms, doctor notes, resignation letters and update CHRIS and electronic personnel files accordingly
  • Must participate as a management member of the negotiating team in collective bargaining with the unions.
  • Must participate as a management member at step 2 union grievance meetings
  • Must send approved and signed letters to employees, either by email or regular mail
  • Must act as a secondary signatory for the company when required
  • Must participate in the selection of key personnel into management and supervisory positions in the company.
  • Must answer general questions from Districts and employees regarding training, job postings, probation etc.
  • Must cooperate with the Director of Human Resources in resolving staffing and labor matters
  • Must prepare nonconformance reports (NCR) and corrective action reports (CAR) as per ISO
  • Must lead and manage the operational units of the company, pursuant to the direction of the Chief Executive Office
  • Must support and assist, as required in the business development of the company
  • Must support and assist the efforts of the Chief Executive Officer, including involvement with initiatives as they pertain to Federal Government business.
  • Must report Directly to the Chief Executive Office and performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer
