JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Maintenance Technician to ensure our hostel remains in top condition. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of our facilities, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay for our guests.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid working permit for the Netherlands is an absolute must.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; other languages are a plus.
• Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a hospitality setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
• Enthusiastic and proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Flexibility to work weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks throughout the hostel, including guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Address and resolve minor repairs and maintenance issues promptly, such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and fix potential issues before they become significant problems.
• Assist with general upkeep, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and functional.
• Work closely with the management team to prioritize and complete maintenance requests efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
