Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Jordan’s Principle Writer shall meet with our Moose Cree families and assist with submissions for funding under Jordan’s Principle. The job may entail submitting a large submission for the community of Moose Cree First Nation. The incumbent shall ensure that all reporting requirements are submitted in a timely manner and handle all the financial reporting relating to the funding. The position will be an outreach position for our members of Moose Cree First Nation and they will work with all Moose Cree Members with education, health and social issues.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Post-secondary diploma in business, health, or social work field; or a combination of relevant education and experience in related field is required.
- Degree in business health or social work preferred.
- 1+ years’ experience in a related role.
- Experience navigating various service agencies and creating service coordination networks.
- Experience in proposal writing
- Strong knowledge and understanding of financial processes, as well as policy, program and evaluation processes.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn Sage Accpac.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong writing and reporting skills.
- Great research and analytical skills an asset
- Sharp attention to detail
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications and functions. (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to speak Cree is an asset.
- Criminal record check including Vulnerable Sector clearance is required
- G or G2 Driver’s License is preferred
Salary: $69,010.50 – $87,418.50
Duration: Permanent with 3-months probation
