About the Role
As a Journey Expert in our Well Managed team for Everyday Banking Portfolio, you’ll play a key role in helping to develop, implement and embed robust and sustainable controls/treatments to adequately manage Everyday Banking’s operational risk to ensure we deliver our promises to our customers and meet the expectation of the regulators and the community.
EDB Portfolio owns three High Impact Processes (HIP) – Personal Lending, Credit Cards (Retail) and Deposits & Transaction Services. As a Journey Expert in the Well Managed team, you will be responsible for implementing sustainable well managed solutions to enable EDB establish and industrialise HIPs effectively.

What will your day look like?
Collaborate with stakeholders within the Portfolio, external partners and our broader value chain partners to update the HIPs process maps, risks, controls and obligations mapping in Signavio
Align risks, controls and obligation mapped in processes with business unit’s risk profiles to ensure compliance with ANZ’s risk framework and process governance framework
Collaborate with product teams, SMEs, data analysts, assurance partners to develop, and operationalise reporting of relevant metrics and real-time data that measure performance and monitor improvements, etc..
Implement sustainable well managed solution that enables holistic decision making across each HIP through effective governance and monitoring of current and target metrics on customer experience, risks, obligations & controls, costs and revenue and any other strategic metrics
Support the Well Managed Lead with delivering Well Managed priorities across the Portfolio to ensure any potential compliance gaps and risks are proactively managed
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Ability to develop, deliver with incomplete information and the drive to find ways to address gaps and make mature assumptions to move work forward
Strong knowledge on risk & compliance principles with demonstrated experience on process and controls mapping including using Signavio and NFRHub
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal including influencing and relationship building skills to achieve a common goal
Able to manage priorities and conflicting issues and/or program priorities in a professional/risk-based manner
Problem solving and critical thinking skills for ensuring problems, root causes leading to actions are understood, including the ability to efficiently synthesize information to determine relevance
Deposits, Consumer Cards and Personal Loans product and/or process knowledge is beneficial. For example, knowledge on how the product operate across the value chain, including the systems that support the products
Proactive by taking action and being resilient in addressing issues to ensure deadlines are met
