POSITION SUMMARY

Journeyman ticket, valid driver license and reliable transportation required.
Valid CWB FCAWticket holders will be preferred, MUST be able to work Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:30 pm.
Welding Journeyman Certification: Journeyman
Experience: Min 5 years welding shop experience.
Major Work Area: Fabrication, assembly, fitting and welding.
Type of Equipment: Welding machines, cutting torches, grinders, drills, etc.
Area of Specialization: Structural metal or steel
Welding Techniques: FMAW, GMAW, SMAW (All position)
Specific Skills: Lay out reference points and patterns, assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures, weld/bolt sections together, construct patterns and templates.
Additional Skills: Read blueprints and strong organization.
Required Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and tool list provided by employer.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding. manual dexterity and eye-hand co-ordination.
Work Site: Environment noisy
Work Location Information: Welding shop in industrial area.
Essential Skills: Reading text, document use, numeracy, oral communication, working with others, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing, finding information and continuous learning.
Other Information: Clean shop environment with a focus on Safety. Long term employment available.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $27.50-$35.00 per hour
