Description:
Job Title: Jr. Planning Coordinator
Role Description: The Jr. Planning Coordinator will actively advance the municipal applications of Shared Tower’s development activities in Canada.
Reporting To: Cheyenne Zierler, Senior Planning Manager
Roles and Responsibilities:
Developing communications towers involves constructive and active engagement with community and municipal stakeholders, and the Jr. Planning Coordinator will follow the municipal process of each application for various development projects in Canada (Manitoba and east) with direction from the Senior Planning Manager. This individual will (among other responsibilities):
- Foster and develop relationships with municipal governments
- Proactive outreach to municipalities with guidance from the Senior Planning Manager
- Reviewing application requirements and ensuring for notifications and submissions, responding quickly to enquiries, and incorporating feedback received along the way
- Ensure the completeness, accuracy, quality and timeliness of all communications between Shared Tower and the communities in which it is, or will be, active
- Liaise with Planning Coordinator and other team members to ensure all standards, policies and agreements are interpreted, understood and adhered to by all stakeholders.
- Aid in planning and/or organizing open houses and/or public consultations, in collaboration with the Senior Planning Manager and/or other members of the Shared Tower team
- Prepare written responses to members of the public and / or municipal / regional officials

Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree
- Valid driver’s license
- 2 years of full time work experience
- 2 employer references
- Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, detail orientation, communication skills, and work ethic
- Ability to come in to the office and travel
Nice-to-have (but not requirements):
- Degree in relevant field
- Membership in a provincial Planning Institute and/or the Canadian Institute of Planners
- Applied experience with community planning and zoning
