Description:
We are seeking a Jr. Project Accountant to contribute to our team in the construction industry, located in North Bergen, New Jersey, United States. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, all central to maintaining financial order and efficiency within our organization. This role is onsite.
Responsibilities:
Handle all aspects of AIA billing including the preparation, coordination and processing of invoices according to contract terms
Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payment processing
Spearhead collections efforts, making sure debts are paid in a timely manner
Handle payroll time sheets, ensuring accurate recording and submission for all employees
Manage time and material, ensuring resources are utilized efficiently and accounted for properly
Perform ad hoc general accounting tasks as required
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
Must have 1-2 years of experience in construction accounting
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
High level of professionalism, integrity and ethics.
