Description:
Title: Jr. Staff Accountant
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
Schedule: In office full time 4-6 months, then 1 day/week remote

Our client is an industry leader in the manufacturing industry. They are offering an exciting opportunity for a Jr. Staff Accountant to join the team. The Jr. Staff will be tasked with maintaining financial records, processing accounts payable, and assisting with end-of-month financial reporting among other tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Approve all accounts payable invoices efficiently and accurately.
- Track and manage financial transactions including wires and accruals.
- Compile and present weekly check register reports.
- Handle monthly reporting of financial data, such as headcount, overtime, and sales.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly bank borrowing certificates.
- Administer fuel cards and other utilities payments.
- Assist with annual audits including bank audits, insurance audits, and tax requests.
- Prepare end of month rent schedule and payments.
- Assist with accounts receivable aged collections.
- Maintain and update the accounting procedures manual as necessary.
- Assist with the implementation of fixed asset schedules.
- Handle the printing of sales invoices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
- Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
- Exposure to conducting Bank Reconciliations
- Understanding of General Ledger management
- Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
- Experience with Month End Close procedures is a plus
- Knowledge of Fixed Assets accounting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong Excel skills
