Description:
DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision and direction of the Court Administrator, the Judicial Administrative Assistant assigned to the Domestic Relations Court Information Window is responsible for greeting, assisting, and directing all callers and visitors to the Court, as well as performing clerical duties and customer service functions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Individuals must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Driver’s License
An Associate Degree in business administration is preferred.
Twelve months legal and customer service experience preferred.
Candidates for this position must possess strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and computer proficiency with Word and Excel.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Basic mathematical skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and CourtView; effective oral and written communication skills; ability to organize and to work independently; in-depth knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and operations; ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information; ability to accurately transcribe and type routine office correspondence.
Responsibilities:
Answers incoming calls; assists, directs, and greets all visitors to the Court; provides administrative support to the IV-D Magistrate; reviews Court-approved CSEA documents and codes/stamps entries accordingly; updates CourtView with parent education class certifications; updates and maintains Excel spreadsheet for ex parte cases; scans NCIC forms and maintains those records; sorts and distributes mail; monitors and refills document bins; reviews daily booking report for capias arrests; runs tickler reports, reviews, updates, and disseminates appropriately; performs any other tasks necessary to ensure the efficient operation of the Court
