We are currently seeking a United Kingdom based Junior Account Manager who will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional relationship with existing and new customer accounts to achieve regional sales targets and contribute to the growth of the company.

What we’ll get you doing:

  • Work in a team with an existing and experienced Account Manager of the territory and get a quick start, get mentored and apply best practice.
  • Achieve monthly and annual Quota in designated territory.
  • Provide prompt and accurate forecasts as requested.
  • Participate to programmed funnel reviews and marketing reviews
  • Provide all reports when requested by manager within set timescales/deadlines.
  • In a team develop and maintain an accurate Territory Plan

The essential requirements of the role include:

  • BSc degree or similar or higher, preferably in a life science area with a biology background or related.
  • Some initial customer facing experience in Life sciences business within Academic or Government or Biotech or Pharma research laboratories, like direct sales, sales support, applications support, technical support, service or other customer facing role.
  • Native or high-level (written/spoken) English.
  • Some experience in practical cellular Biology, e.g. have practically worked with mammalian cell culture
  • The ability to work closely in a team with an experienced Account Manager with willingness to learn, get coached and apply standard work and best practice advises.

TRAVEL, MOTOR VEHICLE RECORD & PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel and work away from home nationally to visit customers and occasionally internationally to interact throughout Molecular Devices.
  • Ability to also travel overnight within the territory
  • On average 2-3 days per week with customer visits

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Manual or automated cellular microcopy by education or from previous job.
  • MS-Teams experience and some Customer Relation Management (CRM) software such as Salesforec.com experience would be an advantage.
