Description:

Junior Accountant will assist the accounting team with daily financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This entry-level position offers a great opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus but not required.
  • Experience:
  • 0-2 years of accounting or finance experience, including internships.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
  • Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Management:
  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording financial transactions, preparing journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
  • Bank Reconciliation:
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Support the preparation of internal and external audits.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Tax Preparation:
  • Assist in preparing tax returns and related documents.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax regulations and assist in ensuring compliance.
  • Data Entry & Management:
  • Enter financial data into accounting software accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain and update accounting databases and spreadsheets.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against the budget and report variances.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information and provide financial insights.
  • Support various projects and initiatives within the finance department.
