Description:
Junior Accountant will assist the accounting team with daily financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This entry-level position offers a great opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus but not required.
- Experience:
- 0-2 years of accounting or finance experience, including internships.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
- Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management:
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording financial transactions, preparing journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
- Bank Reconciliation:
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Support the preparation of internal and external audits.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Tax Preparation:
- Assist in preparing tax returns and related documents.
- Stay informed about changes in tax regulations and assist in ensuring compliance.
- Data Entry & Management:
- Enter financial data into accounting software accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain and update accounting databases and spreadsheets.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual financial performance against the budget and report variances.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information and provide financial insights.
- Support various projects and initiatives within the finance department.
