We are currently looking for a Junior Accountant. This position is based out of our facilities in Nanaimo, BC. This is a full-time role – Monday to Friday, from 8:00AM – 4:30PM. The Junior Accountant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Accounts payable support
• Accounts receivable support
• G/L Account reconciliations
• Bank Reconciliations
• Federal and provincial tax filings
• Assisting with month end adjusting entries and financial statement preparation

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A technical diploma or bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA designation an advantage.
• A minimum of two years’ experience with full cycle accounting
• Excellent communication skills across a broad range of customers and teammates
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities or challenges
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task with an attention to detail
