We are looking to expand our Finance team and are hiring a Junior Accountant, part-time or working student in Vienna.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (e.g. Matura, HAK, HAS, Lehrgang oÄ)
  • Initial relevant work experience in a fast-paced work environment, preferably in a tax advisory or small- to medium-sized company
  • Proficiency with BMD NTCS or similar accounting software, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Certification as a professional bookkeeper and/or accountant is a big plus
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for accuracy, reliability and attention to detail
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, flexible and entrepreneurial environment
  • Passionate about accounting concepts and outcomes, with a dedicated work ethic, proactive attitude and talent for generating innovative ideas, solutions and approaches
  • Fluency in both German and English

Responsibilities:

  • Working on day-to-day accounting tasks and booking records of our legal entities and management companies according to local GAAP requirements (i.e. Austria, Germany, United Kingdom, France)
  • Reviewing and approving travel expenses before recording them in the accounting system
  • Preparing payment transactions and bank transfers
  • Executing ongoing bank postings and checking cash transactions
  • Initiating and compiling base data for VAT return processing
  • Supporting the team with ongoing accounts reconciliation during monthly and quarterly closing procedures
  • Contributing to quarterly closing, budgeting, forecasting, year-end closing, and ongoing deviation analysis and reporting
  • Collaborating with the team to enhance and implement financial accounting processes, such as the integrating of new tools, advancing digitalisation efforts and importing of travel expenses via TravelPerk into our accounts
