Infinity currently develops and sells approximately 120 residential units and between 70 and 100 single family lots each year with the goal of increasing this production year over year.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

As a Junior Accountant, you would be reporting to the Senior Accountant. Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Processing full-cycle Accounts Payable for multiple entities;
  • Maintaining Vendor Master list; processing credit applications for new vendors;
  • Processing weekly cheque run for time sensitive payments; monthly cheque run for Development and Construction AP;
  • Maintaining ledgers and subledgers, along with associated entries, accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations;
  • Performing various account reconciliations including: job cost entries, bank, credit card;
  • Filing GST returns and making associated payments;
  • Preparing invoices for management fees to project entities;
  • Generating and posting intercompany entries;
  • Calculating and invoicing labour recoveries;
  • Maintaining proper accounting records by maintaining an adequate filing system for all areas of the Finance department;
  • Processing hourly staff payroll;
  • Performing other ad hoc projects as required
