We are excited to announce a newly created opportunity for a Junior Accountant to join our head office team in Bundaberg. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role offers an excellent platform for growth, with diverse responsibilities spanning accounting, compliance, and process improvement.
This is a permanent, full-time position, and a competitive salary package, commensurate with experience, will be offered to the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure accurate coding of transactions
- Support month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets and audits.
- Maintain the asset register
- Oversee customer accounts, including the management of overdue accounts
- Provide support to the AP/AR team as required
- Drive process improvement, technology adoption and document internal processes
