JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in various accounting functions, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. This role is perfect for individuals looking to grow their career in accounting and finance, with opportunities to work with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools.
  • Previous experience as an accounting clerk or in a similar role is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients to our office and manage front-desk operations.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments.
  • Maintain and organize the office calendar and records.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions in a timely manner.
  • Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Wave, Excel) to manage financial data efficiently.
  • Help maintain compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
