Description:

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Junior Accounts Officer to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. As a Junior Accounts Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting the overall financial health of our organisation. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Document Management: Maintain and organise financial documents, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Invoice Processing: Process between 30-50 invoices daily in the system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Team Assistance: Support the wider Accounts team with reconciliations and data entry tasks to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Issue Investigation: Investigate invoice issues, including PO mismatches and incomplete data, to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Stakeholder Queries: Manage queries from stakeholders, ensuring the timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Assist with various administration and reporting tasks as required, contributing to the smooth operation of the Accounts Payable department.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
