JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Junior Analyst is a strong career option for those who want a finance and accounting-related role. This job involves overseeing a business’s Inventory and accounting data to ensure its processes follow financial compliance measures and monitoring transactions to prevent discrepancies in the reports.
The Junior Analyst assists in monitoring inventory levels, analyzing data, and supporting inventory-related decisions, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, and various ad-hoc reporting projects.
The Junior Analyst is responsible for exercising a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism, while building relationships and working closely with key roles throughout all levels of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-Secondary education in a related field
  • Previous experience in finance and accounting function
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic bookkeeping and account principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills,
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated skill in Microsoft (Excel, Word)
  • Experience with data entry and finance programs such as Eagle Epicor or Sage 300
  • Superior problem-solving ability
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task,
  • Must have a strong work ethic, be reliable with a positive team attitude
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update accurate inventory and accounting records.
  • Perform accurate day to day recording of accounting transactions
  • Prepare and distribute detailed daily and monthly reports
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reports to bring value added information to the operating companies
  • Analyze inventory and accounting data to identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, and supply planning, and gather and validate product information, specifications, pricing, and other relevant data.
  • Support inventory audits and process improvements.
  • Learn and utilize automated inventory software for tracking and reporting.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data by implementing data quality checks and validation procedures.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies or inefficiencies.
  • Other duties as assigned
