We are currently seeking for a Junior Application Engineer to join our Honeywell Building Solutions division based in Cologno Monzese. Where you will be working with hardware and software for HVAC systems and building automation.
This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This apprenticeship is set up for 24 months.
Honeywell Building Solutions is a $2.5B strategic business unit inside of Honeywell’s Global Building Technologies Business. HBS installs and maintains the systems to help keep buildings and facilities connected, safe, secure, comfortable and cost-efficient and is a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions worldwide.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Recent graduate from a BSc degree or Diploma in Electrical or Automation Engineering.
  • Fluent in both Italian and English, with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, offering technical direction as needed.
  • Customer-focused, with a commitment to satisfaction and the ability to find technical solutions to meet client needs.
  • Must be eligible for an apprenticeship contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Engineering Manager in delivering HVAC building solutions with complex technical design requirements, ensuring integrated and effective project outcomes.
  • Coordinate the input of various internal and external stakeholders to drive project realization and alignment.
  • Execute system design and documentation for complex, integrated systems, ensuring accuracy and technical compliance.
  • Develop software, perform bench testing, and deliver commissioning packages for field implementation, assisting with start-up as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance during programming, site activities, and system integration into supervisory software, including integration with third-party systems via BACnet, Modbus, OPC, KNX, and related protocols.
