The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a Junior Bid Manager to join a well-respected, dynamic international Bid Team at Avantor Clinical Trial Equipment and Ancillary Solutions. We are looking for a Junior Bid Manager to join our existing team based in
Chorley. This is a terrific opportunity for someone experienced in the preparation of Bids and Proposals who is looking for a new challenge.
The Junior Bid Manager will be collaborating with colleagues globally supporting our Global Bid Management and Business Development Teams, defining solutions, and identifying opportunities to Avantor Clinical Trials Equipment and Ancillary Customers.
You will support each stage of the bid lifecycle from pre-proposal planning, to preparing high-quality, well-presented bids and quotations, to integrating new customers into our services.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who wants to gain further experience in Bid Management but who will make a real difference to our existing team.
Working hours: Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00 with some flexibility due to our Global Operations.

The successful Junior Bid Manager will be part of a wider, Global Team of 8.

What we’re looking for

  • Education: High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience: 5 years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience of working in Sales, Quotations, Bid or Account Management
  • Numerically and financially astute
  • Ability to prioritise and execute work effectively to meet strict internal and client deadlines
  • Self-Motivated works with limited Supervision
  • High attention to detail and exceptional analytical skills
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Collaboration tool: MS office, strong excel

How you will thrive and create an impact

  • Support the Bid Management Team in preparation of high-quality, well-presented Quotations and Bids
  • Define Customer Needs and present Solutions and Pricing
  • Works collaboratively across Business Teams to Identify Opportunities and Maximise Revenue
  • Support Bid Mangers on Sales Projections and Forecasts and associated reports as required
  • Supports Bid Managers/Legal in provision of Master Service Agreements, Statement of Woks and Work Orders
