Description:

FUNCTION / POSITION SUMMARY

To perform the necessary research and data analysis to support the Information Services Director
and functional IS Department. Work closely with the Technical teams as a major contributor to the
defined deliverables. Assist with the development of policies, procedures, and IS/IT
documentation. Must be able to research meaningful data to support specific projects and obtain
recent and relevant information. Utilize the Internet to conduct research and analyze information.
Maintain confidentiality of all products and information within the U-46 District and the community.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a tracking report documenting benchmarks/milestones to meet timelines on all IS projects.
  • Remain current in technology trends and developments.
  • Compile technical research and provide analytical documentation to support to the IS Director and Leaders (as assigned)
  • Prepare documents/contracts for final execution and transmission as assigned.
  • Participate in the timely preparation and process for Board of Education meetings.
  • Develop and maintain various spreadsheets, databases, and resource files as assigned.
  • Develop, organize, maintain, and secure office hardcopy and electronic files.
  • Process requisitions for payment.
  • Review, process, and receive technology orders based on IS and Procurement Processes.
  • Work with Procurement Department for technology purchases.
  • Provide basic technical training on Microsoft tools.
  • Provide the necessary support for special large-projects (related to financial and process data)
  • Assist in enforcement and facilitation of project deadlines, schedules, meetings and methodologies.
  • Manage the Director’s calls, calendar, schedule, and meetings.
  • Act as liaison with information technology and/or outside vendors to support relevant
  • Responds to inquiries and determines how changes to a project will affect business and process.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information technology, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • Preference is given to applicants with 3+ years of experience working as a Data or Business Analyst.

However, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience, which provides an applicant with the listed knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position, may be acceptable.

Experience / Knowledge

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel plus Visio.
  • Knowledge of research methodologies and techniques.
  • Proven experience as an analyst or similar role.
  • Proven group facilitation skills preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs. with proper technique.
  • Professional environment requiring business attire.
  • Ability to travel to different sites during the work day.

Terms of Employment

  • This is 12-month position. Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education.
