• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced Excel skills
• Ability to identify trends and outliers, and provide actionable recommendations
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• A keen eye for detail, accuracy, and completeness
• Proven interest in data analysis (whether from formal studies, self-study, or workplace experience)

• Curiosity and an ability to constructively challenge processes to drive improvement

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Junior BI Analyst, you’ll work closely with various teams across the business, using our comprehensive data infrastructure to extract meaningful insights and support smarter decision-making. With guidance from our Head of Commercial Finance and Insights, you’ll be hands-on with Power BI, creating timely and impactful reporting suites. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to study for professional qualifications while working.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Create customer-focused business reports and dashboards to help colleagues monitor, control, and make decisions that drive business success
• Transform BI requirements from colleagues into actionable insights
• Analyse and interpret financial and operational data to support strategic business decisions.
• Identify relevant data sources and ensure data validity
• Increase automation and self-service reporting for colleagues using Power BI and other tools.
• Collaborate with teams to develop performance metrics and KPIs
• Actively partner with SDL Surveying Management Teams to boost profitability and operational performance
