QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
  • Registered or eligible to register with the PEO as a P.ENG
  • 2 plus years of experience in design in municipal and linear infrastructure systems and structures.
  • Experience in linear infra structure design including but not limited to: site development, drainage, grading, site utilities, erosion control, and roadway design.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Knowledge of PCSWWM software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE:

We are currently seeking a Junior Civil Engineer for our Pickering, ON office. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in preparing civil designs, including calculations, construction details and drawings, for stormwater systems, site layout and grading.
  • Design work will be executed in a 3D environment utilizing state of the art 3D modelling software to simulate as-found field topography as well as final grading design to demonstrate poste development conditions.
  • Ability to perform design, including preparation of calculations, material lists, drawings, technical and construction specifications.
  • Reports to department manager and assists in preparation of design estimates, construction costs and proposal submissions.
  • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications.
