Junior Clinical Fellow in Acute & Specialist Medicine (ST1/2)

JUNIOR CLINICAL FELLOW (ST1/2 LEVEL) IN ACUTE AND SPECIALIST MEDICINE

Due to the nature of the post, we are looking for a doctor who is working within acute/general medicine and currently working a general medicine on call rota. You must have at least two years post graduate experience and be available to join our team from October 2024.
You will have the opportunity to rotate through different medical teams including Acute and Renal medicine, Gastroenterology, Stroke Medicine, Geriatrics (incl. Orthogeriatrics and Frailty), Respiratory and Endocrinology.
Whilst these are not recognised training posts, we are committed to the educational development of our doctors. We have a number of training support measures, including the provision of educational/clinical supervisors, eportfolio, study leave and a study budget. You will also have the opportunity to attend training.

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

You will be part of the acute medical take focusing on managing acutely unwell patients during their first 48 hours of admission, as well providing continued care if the patient requires a longer hospital stay on one of the specialty wards.
