Description:

Applications are invited to work in the Neurosciences Department at King’s College Hospital, for a minimum period of 6 to 12 months
King’s is one of the largest Neuroscience centres in the UK with a national and international reputation for excellence. The neurology and stroke team comprises 30 Consultant Neurologists, 18 Specialist Registrars, 10 SHOs/JCFs. The successful applicant will form part of the team.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering care to the neurology inpatients, including acutely unwell patients in a hyper acute stroke setting and will spend time on both the neurology inpatient wards and hyper acute stroke ward. Out of hours they will cover both neurology and stroke patients

The post-holder has an important responsibility for, and contribution to make to, infection control and must be familiar with the infection control and hygiene requirements of this role. These requirements are set out in the National Code of Practice on Infection Control and in local policies and procedures, which will be made clear during your induction and subsequent refresher training. These standards must be strictly complied with at all times.
All employees must hold an ’nhs.net’ email account, which will be the Trust’s formal route for email communication. You are therefore required to check this regularly and to deal with such communication promptly.
