Description:
GRASP THE OPPORTUNITY
As a (Junior) Compliance Officer, you make sure that you are always aware of the latest regulatory updates, and you ensure that your colleagues within Northpool are aware of this too. You provide training for our employees at the trading desk and monitor the trading activities. Northpool is constantly looking for new opportunities, this is done by entering new markets, starting to trade new products and providing services. When implementing these matters, you ensure that the necessary information is available within the organization.
The ideal candidate has knowledge about and experience with trade surveillance and market abuse prevention, including REMIT, EMIR, MIFID II and MAR.
You will work closely together with our Legal and Compliance Counsel. During your work at Northpool you will:
- Conduct a thorough risk assessment of trading behavior & refine requirements for Trade Surveillance.
- Stay informed of regulatory changes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct trade surveillance and prevent market manipulation.
- Respond to request for information of regulator, exchange, and system operator.
- Develop internal controls, policies and procedures to be compliant with the laws and regulations.
- Update policies and procedures to address regulatory changes.
- Provide training and workshops for employees on regulatory requirements.
- Provide ad-hoc advice and guidance on energy trading regulations to the trading team and share relevant NRA decisions with the trading team.
- Attend market-related compliance sessions and conferences.
Your challenge? Ensuring that you, and the organization, are always aware of all aspects involving compliance which are related to laws and regulations within the markets where Northpool is active.
Your goal? Ensuring that the various trading desks always have the necessary knowledge of the rules and regulations to comply with and they can excel in the trading of their market.
