THE OPPORTUNITY
EY is looking for a Junior Consultant to join our Insurance and Actuarial Risk Management competency within Risk Consulting. The Budapest based team offers broad range of consultancy services dedicated to providing high-value and trusted advice to clients within the Financial Services industry, both in Hungary and abroad.
As a new member of our team, you will support clients on challenging and diverse projects such as financial risk measurement and management, improvement of financial risk processes, risk modelling and validation, or provision valuations. We also help our clients to monitor and to implement new approaches required by the latest insurance regulations, for example Solvency II, IFRS17, local GAAP or ESG.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS
- University degree in either Actuarial and Financial Mathematics, Finance, (Applied) Mathematics, Economics or another relevant quantitative field
- Knowledge and understanding of financial markets and the insurance industry and strong interest in quantitative methods, financial data analysis, statistics
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good knowledge and comfort with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of English and Hungarian language (spoken and written)
Responsibilities:
- Active involvement in projects related to financial risk and actuarial modelling, valuation and due diligences, audit of insurance financial statements, methodology designs and reviews by large Hungarian and international companies. The specific project role would be agreed based on your experience and your skill sets.
- Preparation of reports, presentations and proposals for prospective clients
- Support the senior consultants in their tasks and daily work
