Purpose
As a Junior Cook, you are an essential part of our kitchen brigade, assisting experienced chefs in various culinary tasks, learning the art of cooking while contributing to the creation of delectable dishes. You will gain valuable hands-on experience, develop your culinary skills, and help the team create dishes that leave wonderful memories.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Learn proper techniques for handling and cutting various food items
  • Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safe handling of food
  • Seek opportunities to expand your knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavour profiles
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, including washing dishes, equipment and utensils

Skills & Experience

  • Passion for cooking and a strong desire to pursue a culinary career
  • Enthusiasm to learn and adapt in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high culinary standards
