The Junior Crewing Coordinator is responsible for crew planning on our seagoing vessels. He/she makes sure seagoing vessels are optimally manned in order with safe manning and operational crew requirements. A Junior Crew Coordinator also makes sure all crewmembers are in compliance with STCW, by having the correct valid certificates & other project related required certificates if needed. The BOFM (Boskalis Offshore Fleet Management) Fleet consists of about 25 Vessels with a crew composition of Boskalis & Agency crew.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that there is a correct and complete planning of all crew on your seagoing vessels in cooperation with the vessel’s Master.
  • Ensure flights and transportation to and from the vessels for all relevant crewmembers is arranged.
  • Ensure all crew members comply with BOFM training matrix and other project-related required trainings and assist with job-related courses in coordination with the Training Coordinator.
  • Fulfill vacancies on time in agreement with the Crewing HR team and assist with yearly appraisals and succession planning & development of the crew.
  • Assistance with yearly appraisals of crew in time.
  • Maintain crew files in the Crew Management System and ensure correct time and attendance records for all crew.
  • Control and acknowledge expenses and invoices related to the crew on your vessels.
  • Liaise daily with Vessel management, crewing partners/agencies, and contribute as a team to elevate the department’s performance.
  • Collecting necessary personal documents, such as visas, specific to visa type and country, filing them on SharePoint, uploading personal documents, maintaining visa request overviews per person/vessel, and preparing crew overview lists for visa requests.
