Job Description
We’re excited to offer an opportunity to join Nine’s Commerce team as a Junior Data Analyst on a 9-month fixed-term contract to cover paternity leave. This is an excellent chance to gain valuable experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting our Advertising Sales division.
The Commerce team plays a pivotal role within Nine’s Advertising Sales division, providing essential operational support to the Sales team by defining business goals and offering data-driven insights. As a Junior Data Analyst, you will collaborate across teams and work with a wide range of internal stakeholders to deliver key insights, reporting, and commercial strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Centralise datasets across Nine’s business for reporting, forecasting, and modelling purposes.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and the Analytics team to understand, manipulate, and analyse large datasets.
- Be the go-to expert for SQL and Python queries, upskilling and educating the broader Commerce team.
- Provide reporting and insights on yield, inventory, and revenue performance, supporting commercial product decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimise sales processes, product performance reporting, and forecasting methodologies.
- Analyse market trends and competitor landscapes to identify growth opportunities.
- Support the operational design of new products, ensuring efficient workflows, sales processes, and inventory management.
- Maintain and improve existing system processes and tools.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as required.
