Description:
Location - Bristol

Salary - £25,000 per annum
Hours Per Week - 37.5
Based within the Data Protection & Information Security department, the role will involve supporting the delivery and development of the data protection compliance framework for the Group.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Attention to detail with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to deliver against strict deadlines.
- Ability to prioritise a high workload in an organised manner and maintain high quality outputs.
- Ability to take the initiative and have a willingness to learn how to apply data protection in a commercial environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability and confidence to engage with colleagues throughout the Group and at all management levels.
- Able to work with autonomy and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to provide and deliver solutions as required by the business.
- Basic understanding of data protection is desirable.
- An understanding of the insurance market and relevant products and services is desirable.

Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Data Protection & InfoSec team in delivering and developing the data protection compliance framework, information security standards and processes.
- Supporting the team in effectively managing data protection risks.
- Developing an understanding of the UK GDPR and relevant data protection legislation.
- Monitoring, logging and responding to data protection queries in the Data Protection & InfoSec Mailbox.
- Managing the data protection breach database and assisting in analysis of incidents.
- Managing the rights request database and coordinating responses.
- Promoting a culture of proactive data protection compliance.
- Researching and documenting future requirements driven by changes in legislation.
- Providing support, where necessary, for other members of the Data Protection & InfoSec team with regulatory requirements.
