Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Database Management: Install, configure, and upgrade MS SQL databases. Monitor and optimize performance to ensure efficient operation and conduct regular backup and recovery procedures.
  • Technical Support: Provide support for database-related issues, ensuring quick resolution of incidents and service requests.
  • Business Project Involvement: When ready, act as one of our DBA experts in various business projects
  • Security and Integrity: Implement and maintain security measures to protect databases from unauthorized access and potential threats. Manage user permissions and ensure data integrity.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize database queries and configurations to improve performance and reliability. Monitor database load and address performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with other IT team members, sharing your knowledge and learning from others. Promote a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends in database technologies and IT security threats. Research and evaluate new tools and techniques to enhance database operations and performance.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE:

  • Experience in SQL database administration
  • Experience from 2nd line support work or work within an IT-operation team.
  • Academic degree from educations within IT, or equivalent work experience within IT.
  • Strong communication skills to be able to present and discuss technical information effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Experience with server management or other IT operations functions such as automation is a plus.
  • Fluent in speaking and writing in English and Swedish.
