REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in design software: Rhino, V-Ray, and Adobe Suite.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• A passion for furniture design and an eye for aesthetics and functionality.
• General knowledge of materials, including upholstery, wood, metal, glass and stone, and basic production techniques.
• Compensation based on experience.

This position will involve working directly with the head designer and design team to develop new furniture concepts and prototypes at an independent Los Angeles design studio. It will also include working in a warm and welcoming collaborative environment within an open architectural space designed to foster creativity, communication, teamwork, growth, and productivity.
- Assist in ideation and product development, from the concept phase to final production.
- Creating 3D models (Rhino) from ideation sketches.
- Create concept sketches, technical drawings, and visualization renderings (Vray)
- Assist in the selection of materials and finishes for new products.
- Join in on-site visits to local production partners to discuss fabrication methods and project-related questions, and gain insight into vendor’s capabilities.
- Research existing products and trends.
- Assist with marketing and designing promotional materials.
- Participate in inspecting finished products.
