Description:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior DevOps Engineer to join our growing IT
team. This role is perfect for individuals looking to build their careers in DevOps, with a focus
on continuous integration, automation, and collaboration between development and
operations teams. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of IT
infrastructure, cloud services, and scripting, with a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-
paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Foundational IT Knowledge: Basic understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Scripting Skills: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Version Control: Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Argo Workflows.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Passion for Learning: A keen interest in learning and adapting to new technologies and practices in the DevOps space.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Internships or hands-on experience in IT support, system administration, or development is a plus.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, CompTIA Network+) are advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure, including servers, databases, and cloud environments.
  • Automation: Help develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline processes such as deployment, monitoring, and configuration management.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance and respond to alerts, helping to troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure system reliability and availability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, IT, and operations teams to support deployment pipelines, improve efficiency, and ensure smooth integration of new systems.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for systems, processes, and tools to support team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Learning and Development: Continuously learn new technologies, tools, and best practices in DevOps and IT infrastructure, with opportunities for growth and professional development.
