POSITION OVERVIEW

Calian is currently hiring a Junior E-Learning Developer, to support the development and creation of training courses for our customer in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a University degree or College diploma (within a related field of computer sciences, such as computer programming, information technology, information management, multimedia, gaming, animation or similar specialization) AND must have experience in at least three (3) projects in developing eLearning Shareable Content Object Reference Model courses using rapid eLearning tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, dominKnow Flow/Claro, Lectora Publisher, or equivalent software based in HTML and CSS; and/or web development applications using Java, C language or script language, and secondary programs (file structure) and/or databases

Other Requirements

  • You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
  • You can work on-site and remotely

Responsibilities:

  • Creating multimedia animation using images, sound and video, implementation, and evaluation of eLearning courseware
  • Using authoring software to assemble eLearning content and publish the course in accordance with the Instructional Design Documents
  • Designing and creating interactions that are packaged in rapid eLearning software
  • Troubleshooting and resolving online course interactions that are not publishing correctly or reporting correctly to a Learning Management system
  • Working with instructional designers to develop the content based on storyboards
  • Providing advice on the suitable interaction and also on the limits of certain application
  • Creating reusable online content
  • Providing maintenance guide(s) that provide detailed information on maintenance and modifications of eLearning products
  • Support development of in-house training materials
  • Create eLearning courses, professional development sessions, pre-instruction packages and training aids to train Logisticians at Canadian Forces Logistics Training Centre
  • Advise on learning technologies to SME’s
  • Advise and liaise with clients on improvements to training
  • Develop training material in collaboration with instructors, standards staff and SME’s
  • Write instructions for all development and deliverables
  • Develop storyboards as necessary for e-Learning courses
  • Courseware developer
  • Research innovation and creative content delivery

  • Graphic design, images, video and sound
  • Other duties as assigned
