Description:
Arrow Speed Controls Limited (est. 1980) is the leading Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Integrator in North America. We engineer and assemble speed control equipment for a wide range of electric motor applications. In addition to VFD’s, we also do DC drives, soft starts, servo controls and PLC systems.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Degree in an electrical related discipline, Professional Engineer, EIT, Electrical Technologist Diploma, or Red Seal Electrician
- 1 to 5 years of experience in a panel design role is preferred
- Junior to Intermediate EPLAN user
- AutoCAD experience
- Experience in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and/or the manufacturing industry is an asset
- Experience using NetSuite ERP system is an asset.

Responsibilities:
- Complete electrical designs under the guidance and instruction of the Design Group Supervisor
- Perform electrical designs that are safe, functional and in compliance with current codes and standards
- Manage design workload to meet or exceed individual project timelines
- Work through scope change orders produced by customers or management
- Produce scope change requests including estimated material and labor impacts
- Build complete design packages including:
- Detailed Bill of Materials
- Complete drawing packages (schematics, three-line diagrams, interconnection drawings, network diagrams, single line diagrams and more)
- Drawing files in EPLAN and AutoCAD
- Work with sales account managers and/or customers to perform kick-off meetings, regular project meetings, complete requests for information
- Report on project status, schedule, and deficiencies to project plans
- Work collaboratively with the shop and service teams to design practical solutions to problems
- Utilize Arrow Speed ERP system to allocate inventory stock to projects and identify materials needed to procure.
- Participate in regular team meetings
- Conduct work safely at all times
- Assist in overseeing and documenting customer Factory Acceptance Tests
